Patrick Champagnie

The 1999 Peers Awards Nomination for Creative Director of the Year, was a significant milestone in the career of Patrick Champagnie: a career which began while he was still a student at Calabar High School, and developed  through  experience in modern techniques of television, radio and print advertising at Saatchi and Saatchi Advertising in New York.  During the 1980s he worked his way  from Graphic Artist to Executive Director  in the best  of  Jamaica’s advertising agencies. Over the years, his design and production skills have been used in the areas of television and print advertising campaigns, publications, packaging, calendars and other print collateral material. Patrick Champagnie has also taught photography part time at the Edna Manley School and  and after studying in Costa Rica developed his own skills in Lighting Techniques, Composition and Special Effects.  Himself a medalist, he has served as a judge in the National Festival Photographic and Art Poster Competitions; the Advertising Agency Association Creative Awards; and the Heinemann Literary Poster Competition. He has also served as an external examiner for the EMSVPA
